File sharing in one CLI command

rstream files [path] combines a read-only file server and an HTTPS tunnel. Recipients can browse directories, filter and sort entries, download individual files with resume support, or download a streamed directory ZIP.

Files stay on your device and remain available while the command is running. The browser interface is included in the CLI. Dotfiles are hidden by default, repeatable exclusions apply to all download paths, and sharing one file never exposes its siblings.

Basic projects can use public access or a local password. Project authentication requirements remain enforced, and Pro/Enterprise projects can use rstream account authentication.

WebDAV is the default transfer backend. Optional read-only WebRTC uses rstream STUN/TURN and is also available for WebTTY file access. CLI clients, local MCP tools and JavaScript SDKs detect the selected backend automatically. Supported browsers stream downloads directly to disk with progress and cancellation.

See File Sharing for the command, access modes, limits and the distinction from the temporary encrypted file-sharing tool.
