Thank you for using rstream. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information rstream collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Consent
Your access to and use of rstream are conditioned on your acceptance of, and compliance with, this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
Information We Collect
When you use the rstream administration interface, you sign in through a Single Sign-On (SSO) provider. We receive the account information made available by that provider, which includes your email address and may also include your first name, last name, and profile image URL. We use this information to operate your account, display your profile in the dashboard, communicate with you when needed, provide support, and manage billing.
When you use the rstream CLI or when incoming connections are handled by the Service, we collect operational data necessary to run the Service reliably and securely. This may include IP addresses associated with CLI users, client version, operating system, and hardware architecture, as well as connection metadata such as IP addresses, connection times, duration, data usage, and bandwidth.
When you use HTTP tunnels, rstream records request logs for operational visibility and request history. Logged data may include client and upstream IP addresses, request and response data, timestamps, duration, and bandwidth usage. HTTP request logs are retained for up to 30 days.
rstream uses Stripe for billing. When required to create or manage a subscription, we share the billing information needed for that purpose, such as your email address and, if available, your name.
Cookies
rstream uses essential cookies for authentication. These session cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the website, are not used for tracking, and are not shared with third parties for advertising purposes. If you block these cookies, the dashboard may not function correctly.
Data Retention and Deletion
rstream retains personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate operational purposes. Unless you delete your account earlier, personal data is retained for up to one year.
You can delete your account from the dashboard. When you do, we permanently remove your personal data from our systems, except where retention is required for legal or compliance reasons. In particular, billing history and payment-related records may be retained to satisfy financial, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
If you would like an archive of the data associated with your account, you can request it by contacting support@rstream.io. We aim to respond in a timely and transparent manner.
Use of Data
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Service, authenticate users, enable billing and account management, respond to support requests, improve reliability and performance, monitor usage, prevent abuse, and address technical issues.
Transfer of Data
Your information, including personal data, may be processed on computers located outside your state, province, or country where data protection laws may differ. Persistent storage is located within the European Union. Non-persistent processing and transient storage may occur outside the EU when required for the duration of a connection, and data is retained only as long as necessary for that session and the operational purposes described in this policy.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. We strive to use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Rights of Users
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request data portability. To exercise these rights, please contact support@rstream.io.
Disclosure of Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal information to others.
Modifications to this Privacy Policy
rstream may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
